On June 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared to the three children at Fatima and asked them to pray the Rosary each day. The conversation continued: Lucy asked: I would like to ask you to take us to Heaven. Our Lady: Yes, I will take Jacinta and Francisco soon. But you are to stay here some time longer. Jesus wishes to make use of you to make Me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. To whoever embraces this devotion I promise salvation; these souls shall be dear to God, as flowers placed by Me to adorn His throne.

| (Our Lady of Guadalupe Medals) |
Feast Day: Dec. 12th Juan Diego, who was hurrying down Tepeyac hill to hear Mass in Mexico City saw the Blessed Virgin. She sent him to Bishop Zumárraga to have a church where she stood. The bishop asked for a sign. Calling herself Holy Mary of Guadalupe she told Juan to gather roses. Juan knew it was neither the time nor the place for roses, but he went and found them. Gathering many into the lap of his tilma, a long cloak, he came back. The Holy Mother rearranged the roses, and told him to keep them untouched and unseen until he reached the bishop. When he met with Bishop Zumárraga, Juan unfolded his cloak, the roses fell out and on the tilma was a life size figure of the Virgin Mother.

The Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette at the Grotto of Massabielle in 1858. The message of Our Lady of Lourdes was about the healing Mercy of God. Millions of pilgrims venture every year to Lourdes. The picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour was painted on wood, with background of gold in the thirteenth century. It represents the Mother of God holding the Divine Child while the Archangels Michael and Gabriel present before Him the instruments of His Passion. Over the figures in the picture are some Greek letters which form the abbreviated words Mother of God, Jesus Christ, Archangel Michael, and Archangel Gabriel respectively.
