The statues are made of (Goma de madera espa�ola) or in english Spanish Wood-Paste. Only the highest quality statues are produced from this material. Only a few manufactures still use it because of the cost but as one can see the results are breathtaking. Spanish Wood-Paste was perfected during Counter-Reformation. It is material that combines wood from Andaluc�a that is ground up as fine as flour with a special formulated plaster. This material is able to fill the most intricate molds and produces statues that are very durable . Finally, Spanish artisans painstakingly detail, paint, and finish these works of art. The quality of these statues are unparalleled and are perfect for home or church. They range from 12 inches up to 6 feet. All statues are made to order and take a minimum of 12 weeks.
